The water varnish is an invisible lacquer we print on bags and boxes made from coated paper or cardboard. The reason for this is to “bind” the color to the surface. Sometimes this is also used on uncoated paper. When we print with metallic colors such as gold/silver/copper we print this varnish on top of it to tie the colors so they don´t release ink or metallic pigments
